For my film, I am trying to think of different ways of making my film look creative with the use of colour and images to portray how Baz Luhrmann uses colour in his films. These images of Masha Radovskaya by photographers Remi Kozdra and Kasia Baczulis have merged coloured gels with water to create these shimmery effects against Masha's skin. I find these images so inspiring because of how these photographers have used an element of water on the image to create an effect that is more than just projecting colour. The use of colour and lighting also sets the tone of these images which I think has constructed a dark mood to it. I think these images relate to my project because although gels were used to create this outcome, I am still trying to find ways of projecting colour with possibilities of a different perspective through cinematography than photography. I am also creating a similar look for one of my characters so an option I could take from this is testing how wet skin looks in film.
